God’s faithfulness is the same today, tomorrow and forever. As He has helped others, so also will He do now for us. His love has no bounds and His mercies are new every day. Though the times change and we change, God is with us in every single aspect of our lives. Although the battle rages on in this dark world, the foundation of Christ who died to give us life will always remain. He is true to his word. The troubles of this world have no power to destroy a believer.

It always is amazing to me how the leaves of the trees change with every season of the year. The Mastermind of this phenomenon is God. He ordained the different seasons and has a purpose for each part of the cycle. He has a purpose for all things in creation for it was by His hand that all things came to be. Nothing evolved on its own. There is one God who is the Creator of all. Yet some times, during times of stress and change, it is difficult to remember that God has authority over everything. Each day brings a different problem and sometimes it is hard to keep the faith through our tears. But may we take courage in knowing that we are not forgotten. God has not forsaken us. We are being made ready for a royal position that will never end. God is with us in every battle even though it seems like we are most alone. His legions of angels are acting on His command to guard us throughout our struggle.

To me, no matter what season we may be in personally, there is always a reason to celebrate a God that remains faithful and good.

Do we KNOW GOD?

"Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart;
for consider what great things He has done for you." ~ 1 Sam. 12:24

Whether we fear the Lord or not is seen in:
- Our SERVICE in God's house & to God's people

- Our HEART towards God's people & God Himself

In what manner do we serve Christ? With eager desire to do our best, unconditionally out of a grateful heart - or with conditions, depending on who asks us to do what, or only if the conditions meet our standards/convenience?

What is our heart condition? Given that all that we do flows from the condition of our hearts, its imperative to remember, "Behold, You delight in truth in the inward being, and You teach me wisdom in the secret heart" [Ps.51.6]. "Wisdom" - which begins with the fear of the Lord, thus bringing us back to how it is seen in our lives as a measure of true spirituality.

In short:

TO KNOW HIM is to love Him. To love Him is to fear Him. To fear Him is to serve in truth with a pure heart. May we consider the great things He has done for us & worship Him accordingly.

Unfortunately, as posted on the shoutbox several days earlier, I have an incomplete team.

As such, I am extremely reluctant to pick songs.

I get email updates from a missionary in Japan whom I have sponsored in the past. This month she shared something which really spoke to me about loving your neighbour as yourself. Being tired and down, she had recently felt that she was unable to care for and show love to the people around her (because her natural reaction was to shut everything out). In particular, she started to become indifferent to the people around her even though they were the people she was trying to reach out to. Remembering God's command to 'love thy neighbour', she became ashamed at her indifference and realised that once again she had stopped relying on God. So she asked God for His forgiveness and His help to love others.

The important lesson she said she learnt from this, and what spoke to me was how easy it is to become uncaring towards others when you rely on yourself. I realised how true this is in my own life. When life becomes tiring, busy or just not what you wanted it to be, it is easy to shut everything out, forget about God and become indifferent to the people around you.

She reminded me that - We learn to love others because it is God who first loved me and gives me the strength to continue to love even when things get difficult.

To rest in Him - A true stance of faith, surrendering all and entrusting that despite all the pulls and demands on our lives - we have faith that GOD IS ABLE to do what He said He would do for us, and fulfil His promises concerning us.

Many times it's so easy and convenient to give thanks to God when things are going well. However, in these verses, Paul tells us to GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. We might sometimes feel that our lives can be hard and difficult, but we forget everything we have is from God.

We can give thanks to God every morning when we wake up, knowing that we are well. We can give thanks to God about being able to speak, hear, touch and see. Often time we forget the primary things that we should give thanks to God to, but focusing on the unhappiness and disappointments that we are facing.

Above ALL, we can give thanks to God because our ETERNAL salvation HAS BEEN secured by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in whom we believe and trust in.

Having received Jesus in our lives, we have now have a new purpose, new reason and new direction- indeed, its all about LOVE.

May compassion now inspire us to be people that are willing to make the sacrifice, make the difference and pay the price. Jesus did not simply spoke of His love but demonstrated it through everything He did. As New year approaches, I believe each one of us has something that we want to break free in our lives. One of the greatest is we want to get closer to God more than ever before and we want to know his will and hear from him more clearly so that we can live a life pleasing to him. We cannot fully please God if we are not able to completely offer our bodies up as living sacrifices, however this requires discipline. Just as 1 Cor 9:27 says,I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

Truly we serve such a good God that makes a way when there seems to be none. Everything we have is from God. Whatever talent, strength or position of authority we hold whether at church or in the workplace, is given by God to use for His purpose. It is never by our own strength or ability that we (or anyone) can do anything. Even those who are not God's people (as in the case with Nebuchadnezzar). However, we must humble ourselves before God and not become hardened with pride over our successes, lest God take it away from us.

Let us always be humble and use our gifts, talents and abilities to serve God with zeal.

As we are approaching Christmas, may we bring the life of Jesus to wherever we go to. Whether it be at work, amongst our friends, at church or with our family, may we be mindful of who we represent. The King of kings and the Lord of lords.

May we daily be transformed to be even more Christlike so that just by being with other people, they may hear, see and smell something that is different... The love of Jesus.

Faithfulness

Dear Team,

It has been a year of change, with God blessing us with the opportunities to grow -
To mature in our spiritual depth, but also in character and in mind, and in relationships as a team.

As I look back upon our Net and what we have journeyed through this year, it has been a year of seeking to improve in practical, relational and spiritual levels seen, for example, in:

*Re-introducing: Personal catch ups with individual members in the net

*Re-structuring of our weekly net meetings to incorporate corporate worship/prayer + rehearsal

*Raising up new leaders and adding new members to our existing net

As with any change, a process of adjustment is required to adapt with such changes. I believe we are still in the period of adjustment, learning to balance the coordination of our weekly net meetings, as well as trying to find a balance of practical music rehearsals, building relationships and growing spiritually - especially given that almost all members have busy schedules and limited time available.

As we continue to look to the Lord, may we find our focus and service completely Christ-centred. In looking to Christ, and not to men, we guard against disappointments, offences and complaining - and find renewed strength, hope & meaning in our service and worship to God - for it is Christ alone that we do all these things for.

Please join me in continuing to pray for our Net - for unity, renewal and revival.

I encourage each member to take initiative in building relationships with fellow net members - rather than waiting for 'organised' activities, may the love of Christ compel us to do so as a natural outworking of the love we have first received. Divine love which always gives, before being asked, and hopes, despite the setbacks. God is good!

May His faithfulness towards each one of us spur on our faithfulness towards God & His House.

KRIS KRINGLE NOTICE

On another note, to celebrate season of love personally within our net and to practice generosity to those within our circle of friends, Victor and I will be organising a Kris Kringle present exchange for the worshipnet. To those who don't know how it works, this Saturday, we will go around with everyone's names in a bucket/hat and obviously, you have to pick one name up. Whoever's name you pick, you have to buy a present for them by Christmas Eve night, during which we willcome together at the end to exchange the gifts. Cost of the gift must be between $10-$15. No red packets or gift cards allowed. PLEASE DO NOT DISCLOSE TO ANYONE WHO YOU GOT, until the night of exchange.

With Christmas Eve fast approaching, we will be having some additional practices on top of the normal practices on Saturday. If you are on the Worship Team for Christmas Eve, please practice the songs (especially the leaders), be on-time to practices and start setting up as soon as you arrive at church for practice.

The rehearsal schedule for WorshipNet members over the next 2 weeks is as follows:

Friday (16 Dec) - Presentation song practice. All members involved in the presentation songs MUST attend the practice in the Sanctuary after worship. Musicians, vocalists and sound.
Saturday (17 Dec) - Extended WorshipNet practice (9:30 - 12:00pm). Songs will be O Come All Ye Faithful, Unreserved Love, Angels We Have Heard on High, Feliz Navidad.
Monday (19 Dec) - Weeknight practice (7:30 - 9:30pm). Songs will be Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Gift of Knowing You, Streams of Praise
Wednesday (21 Dec) - Weeknight practice (7:30 - 9:30pm). Full set run through.
Thursday (22 Dec) - Possible additional practice.

Sunday Am Service 11/12/11- celebrating God

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to His name, O Most High; To declare His loving kindness in the morning and His faithfulness every night".

As we draw near to the end of the year, may we take time to reflect on God's goodness in our lives this year. Even though there has been ups and downs, good and bad moments, individual and corporate victories and struggles, I believe each one of us can say that we have personally tasted of the Lord's faithfulness and mercies. In response to that, may we end this year with a real spirit of celebration and gratefulness. When I think of people truly rejoicing from their hearts, there's shouting, clapping, dancing, lifting of hands, boldness to do new things, freedom to express themselves... May that we feel free to lead others into that very nature of a worshipper this weekend!

Faith and Hope in God

21Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 1:21

When Jesus died on the cross, Matthew 27:50-51 tell us that the veil in the temple tore in two. The veil was about 3 inches thick, 30 feet wide and 60 feet high. It separated the Most Holy Place which represented God's presence, from the outer room where the priests served. No one was allowed in that inner room except for the high priest once a year.

Through Jesus, the veil separating us from God is torn away. Because He died on the cross, God is no longer distant from us. It's because of Jesus that we can know God, have faith, and have hope.

Our Faith and Hope in God is because of what Jesus did on the cross for our sins.

SEASON OF LOVE 2/12/2011

I was driving earlier today and a song that we have commonly sang in our church came on through my iphone music shuffling; and for some reason, the lyrics really struck a chord in me as we prepare ourselves for the Season of Love launch this Friday.

The lyrics are as follows :

The whole concept of Season of Love is for our church, for us, God's people, to be whom He has called us to be and to do what He has called us to do. May we become the hands and feet that bring His love, His light and His joy to those in need, those in captivity, those who are broken, those who are lost.

We are believing that this summer program will be the beginning of a new revolution and way of living for our church.... So please prepare yourselves and open your hearts that each of us can play a part.

Truly, the Lord is great and his mercies they endure forever! Amen!

I thank God for his grace and provision over my life every day, His love that is unending and continues to surround us regardless of ourselves. He is the one who's love is pure and true. His love is unfailing, it gives us rest and it strengthens us. With Him by our side, we will never walk alone. He is always there. His bleeding hands have proved His love unreserved. Such is the love of our God and all He desires is our thanks, our praise. So,

Have you thanked God today?

May our lives be a fragrant offering unto His name; through tears and joy, as a family, may we continue to give Him all our praise!

"Be still and know that I am God."

It's so precious and beautiful when we be still and really know that God is God.

Being still both physically and mentally can be difficult at times. Sometimes in the midst of our busyness, we set aside time with God and desire to draw close to Him, but as we do so, something pops up in our mind and our minds are busy again. Or if we suddenly feel hungry and walk to the kitchen to get some snacks. Or when the mobile phone rings and you think you can quickly answer phone.

All of the above, as we know it, is not being still before God.

As we come into this busy period, let us learn and treasure the time that we have with God. Let us meet with God not being distracted with our work nor with our busyness. But just God and ourselves, worshipping Him, meditating upon His Word, allowing Him to speak to us and interceding through our prayers.

When God chose Bezalel to create the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony with the atonement cover and all the other furnishings of the tent where God would reside with the Israelites, He anointed him with all the skills he would need to do it excellently. God gave Bezalel the skills not to create something mediocre, but rather something grand and majestic!

As members of the WorshipNet, you too have been chosen by God to build His altar of worship - through singing, playing, sound and screen. God has given you the skills you need to do this task. So like Bezalel, do it excellently and for the glory of God.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

There are many ways we can worship God. We are called to Praise Him and give thanks for what He has done for us. To really put it into practise, we must begin with submission to God - Bow down in worship and kneel before Him.

To offer Him genuine worship, we have to firstly submit ourselves, offering Him a wholly devoted heart. As we submit ourselves to God, we are acknowledging He is the King in our lives.

Let us come into the heart of worship once again, let us not forget the zeal of worship when we first joined the worshipnet. Everyday is a new day and a refreshing day! Let us always be reminded the greatness and the privilege that we can be serving the Lord our Maker!

God wants us to be "fired up", zealous, full of the Holy Spirit, to weep, to mourn, to lift our hands to Him in praise or surrender, and to be expressive about how we feel about Him for all the world to see. I pray that our church will filled with worshippers that are never too afraid to OPENLY declare and demonstrate their complete devotion and adoration for Jesus. If we really love Him, we ought to boldly express it, especially when we find ourselves gathered together with like-minded believes for the whole purpose of WORSHIP.

May we not get too caught up with the formalities of service or with what others might think or what appears to be the "proper behaviour of worship". May we find ourselves so submerged with enjoying His life, His presence, His love and His goodness that we can't help but freely and passionately express our heart towards Him.

The power of the tongue!!

Wow, the power to bring about life and death!!

The question is, what are we doing with our tongue? What fruit are we eating from it? Are we using our tongue (words) to speak life, encouragement, love and edification, or are we using our tongue (words) to complain, grumble, put down and discourage. The words we use do not necessarily have to be used toward other people. The words can be used when we speak of situations, circumstances, and when we describe ourselves to other people.

Remember, the words we use has the power to bring life into someone, into a situation, and into our own lives. Depending on how we use our words, these words can bring about great changes into someone else's or into our own lives. So... use your words wisely and carefully.

Revelation 12:11a They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

People do need your testimony! As Christians, especially as you have been a Christian for a few years, we tend to withhold our stories. We think that we don't have to tell more about our testimonies as they already know. Mind you! That's not the truth. As scriptures say, testimony is an important weapon for spiritual warfare and by these testimonies we can be overcomers. Personally I was and am and going to be continuely inspired by so many testimonies that Christians have been sharing, and that's the reason I also would like to share my testimonies (big or small) to encourage others, as you never know that your testimony might become a revelation for someone else.

The law of the Lord is perfect, it surely paints wisdom across our journey, and they are trustworthy as we know God is a story-telling God, that's why we say history is HIS STORY! May We, as the children been redeemed by the blood of Lamb, never cease telling our stories to others how we have been caught by his grace and how we grow and testify his faithfulness and his mighty deeds.

A greater power came from heaven to earth when Jesus descended from heaven and landed on earth. A power that was supernatural. A being that was God himself.

Jesus came with purpose, passion, zeal and determination. He came to set God's children free, and to destroy the hold that the devil had on God's people. That bondage has been broken by Jesus, once and for all. Jesus confirms this when He says, 'It is finished' before He returned to the Father.

As that greater power also lives in us in the form of the Holy Spirit, let us also carry this same purpose and power to reveal to others that Jesus is real and Jesus came to set them free also. As the work has already been completed, let us reveal this Good News to the people and declare the victory of God over their lives.

Finally~~Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you;

Fear is an evil spirit that whispered and planted from Satan when we are facing difficulties each time. We might be full of doubts, confusion, unease, passive, and as a matter of fact, all of those negative feelings come from fear. And fear will only throw us into Satan's trap and make us worry and magnify the problem instead of looking at God.

As believers, our duty is to BELIEVE. Believe God is a miracle working God, he turned the red sea into dry land, and he is the same yesterday, today and forever. We just need to be still, as he will fight for us. (Exodus14:13-14) No matter what you are facing right now, as an individual, as a family, or even as a church, I encourage you to continue declare God's words and move foward.

God can use YOU! God can use any of us if our hearts are willing and open. It doesn't matter who we are. It doesn't matter if we think we are foolish, or weak , lowly or despised. What matters is our heart.

As I've said before, music is a way for us to express our heart. So as we come together to worship our Lord Jesus, truly worship from your heart and let God use us for the glory of His Kingdom.

Before we became a Christian, we were living life our way. No hope, no future, no certainties, no joy. We placed ourselves as kings with our sinful natures and desires.

As we repent and confess the wrongdoings of our past, sins that created barriers in our relationship between the Father and ourselves will be broken. Thereby, our relationship with God can be restored. Indeed Jesus IS the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father expect through Him - John 14:6. Knowing that God is the only Way to Life, we should be alert ourselves in our daily walk with God. God watches over us, He protects us from harms and gives us strength and wisdom from Heaven!

For God is the peacemaker, we can be the peacemakers to the world. For God is a Joy-giver, we can also be a Joy-giver to others. For God is a God of Love, we can also Love!

Recently, I purchased a few pieces of furniture from a friend and through our conversations, I found out that he is leaving Australia for good.
I suddenly had a conviction that what did I spend my time on? Did I spend time with them and tell th the good news of Jesus? Or did I just spend time on pleasing myself? The answer is obvious! It's really sad to see my uni friends leaving Adelaide one by one, AND I failed to let them know about Jesus!
May we all spend our time wisely and use them for God's purposes! Let's ask God to 'SEND ME'!

As the bible says, every good and perfect gifts is from above! Therefore we believe that God is a God who is creative& beautiful, makes our hearts sing all the time. There shouldn't be any farmiliarity or any complacency in us when we serve the Lord or studying his words. As Ps Anne mentioned before, we do believe the Lord is doing a new thing in NLCC, he declares the former thing have taken place, and new things(spiritual breakthrough, revival, healing power, miracles) are going to flood into our church.

I pray as his worship team, let us all humble ourselves before the throne once again, rekindle the first love for Jesus, sing to him a new song that will truly touch his heart as if this is the first time when we are called to serve him. Remember when you see yourself first time being rostered on singing, playing instruments, screen, sounds, etc, how excited you are! Let us show the Lord that attitude while we are on the stage once again, and expect to see wonderful things take place!

The Narrow and Wide Gates

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. "

Matthew 7:13, 14

If there are two gates that we could choose to go through from, the wide gate or the narrow gate, then by common sense most people would choose to enter through the wide gate because it is more convenient and it is easier to enter through.

Whereas in these two verses, Jesus showed us that the narrow gate leads to life - When we surrender our lives, our comfort zone, our routine and changing it into what God desires for us, we no longer serve ourselves. There may be inconvenience, uneasiness when we enter through the narrow gate. However if we go hand in hand, as a body of Christ, encouraging one another, we can achieve the goal and minister with God's mighty power.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, when we come together as one. Narrow gate which leads to life is no longer hard and inconvenient. As we give unto God what He desires which are always for our GOOD, we can walk in the narrow gate without being distracted or being stumbled.

Sorry everyone for the late post, I was having trouble deciding what songs to do.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

~2 Corinthians 12:9

God's grace is sufficient for us. It is enough for every aspect of our lives - the physical, the emotional and the spiritual.

His grace shall provide for all our needs,

"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus," (Philippians 4:19).

His grace hears your cry and carries your burdens and sorrows,

"He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows," (Isaiah 55:4).

And its His grace that keeps us going every single day,

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." (2Cor 4:16)

So I pray that as we live our lives as we need to, we do not forget the grace of God. We do not forgot that our God and His grace, is sufficient for us. Grace is more than just a theological term, it is because of grace that we have been saved and it is only through grace that we can live a successful Christian life. Let us never forget and neglect the grace of God.

There is a scripture in the bible that each time I meditate on it, it can bring me tears as well as peace. John 17:4 Jesus prayed to his heavenly father before he went on the cross, I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

We all know how the life of Jesus was while he's on earth, it is a life of serving, healing, praying, preaching, loving and suffering. In the eyes of the world, that is the life that most people will despise, yet it's the life has brought glory to God. I do believe that the motivation brings Jesus to the cross to redeem the whole humanity is to bring his father glory, each time when he came across suffering, he reminded himself the purpose for his life, that alone brings radical obedience until the work is done.

Dear brothers & sisters, what is your purpose on this earth? Is it to bring glory to our heavenly father or gain the worldly success? May we all come back to the cross once again and learn from our Lord Jesus, knowing our true value and purpose, completing the earthly journey without any regrets.

What do we do when our backs are up against the wall and we are faced with a spiritual giant? It was once taught to me in psychology that each of us are born with the fight or flight mentality; when faced with danger, we either confront it or run away from it. We as Christians, however, should react as David did. He was up against a giant as we all are at times. He could have ran and hid, but he stood on faith and used what God had equipped him with; and triumphed over his enemy.

God has already given us everything it takes to defeat our "Goliath". Yes the task seems incredible and yes we are up against the fight of our lives, but God will see us through. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. These are the tools necessary to defeat our enemies. David used a small rock to bring down Goliath, so don't think that it takes a lot of strength or muscle. All we need is faith the size of a mustard seed; faith that God will provide for us; and it shall come to pass.

If God is for us, who can be against us?
Let's be like David and bring down any enemy we may come up against.

Jesus has given us life to the FULL, it is up to us whether we are willing to live life fully or merely give an appearance of it - by believing that He IS the only one who satisfies, and then receiving and living according to the Spirit He pours out into us.

In a time not long ago... a man named Jesus Christ walked on earth to be among His people. He showed them the ways of heaven and lived amongst His own creation. In the form of man, God He chose to be with us.

Although Jesus is now seated on the right hand side of the Father, the presence of God is still ever present with us. He has given to us the Holy Spirit who also shows us the way of the Father, counsels us and comforts us. God lives in us and dwells in our heart through the Holy Spirit.

While I was looking through my bible, I saw this verse was highlighted. Seeing it reminded me of a few months ago, when I was timid and worried, being self-conscious about my surroundings even during worship sessions. But I was then reminded by Ps. Chris, in one sermon, that we are all *Princes* and *Princesses of God*, we have nothing to fear, God has given us all GOOD things, a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

1 John 4:4 states that 'You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world'. When we know our identity, when we know our eternal life is planted in heaven, we do not have to worry about things.

Let us seek God daily, pray that we can be God-conscious, to worship Him with boldness and a courageous spirit.

John 13, Jesus washes His disciples feet.

Although Jesus was the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, He willingly washed the disciples' feet. In those days, washing the feet of others is the most unclean and unpleasant job, normally done by a servant. However, Jesus accepts everyone and shows humility by washing the disciples' feet by showing an example.

Many of us are reaching out but sometimes we tend to do it out of routine or because we want to show others that we are more superior. Have we asked ourselves whether we are doing it with the right motive? Are we reaching out with a heart of compassion? May we examine ourselves daily. Let us pray for a pure heart and a right motive. May we humble ourselves. As the body of Christ, we can run towards our heavenly goal hand in hand!

I didn't know what it meant to be poor in spirit until one Sunday when Pastor Chris preached on 'The Beatitudes'. To be poor in spirit is to be attached to God, detached from the things in the world. Mourning for our sins and wrongdoings, recognising when we sin, one part of us dies. When we give of ourselves and God resides in us, we can draw closer to God and having a real relationship with God. Not only that, but when we give of ourselves, we have Joy and Peace that are from above! I was and still am very encouraged by this verse!

""But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.""
In our daily lives, there are hardships, pressure, isolation and difficulties. We tend to focus on the problems, ask why they happen and blame God.
However, no matter what did we do and how many times we fail, God is always with us. He knows our weaknesses and He knows our need. So in His words He says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"
Let us know that for when we are weak, but by God's grace and strength, then we are strong! Amen!

As Ps Anne mentioned, thanks for the great time of worship over the SE weekend and all your efforts getting to practice on time, especially from breakfast. A special thanks to the people that helped transport everything to and from the camp site. I know it can be very tiring having to take everything back to church after the camp is over. I also want to thank the Sunday morning and evening service team for a great worship despite having just come back from camp.

Let's continue to cultivate the fire for God in our lives in worship this weekend!

Spiritual Encounter Equipment

Hi guys,

In order to get equipment up to Spiritual Encounter, we will be:

Packaging @ 8pm Wednesday
Pickup and transport @ 3:30pm Friday

I'd be a big help if we could get some help packaging the equipment Wednesday. So please volunteer in the comments!!

And for Friday, so far we have three cars taking equipment up... having one more car available probably be helpful, only if you haven't already organised to transport some other people up!

As we approach Spiritual Encounter, let us prepare our heart, our mind and our attitude to meet with the God of ALL creation.

May we all be HUNGRY and EXPECT a BREAKTHROUGH in our lives. No matter where we are in our walk with God, we can always go deeper, farther and closer into the presence of God. No matter our circumstances, we can all be more like Jesus.

May there be an EXPLOSION of God's mighty Spirit in our midst, so that anything that is not of God will be blown away and everything that is of God will be deeply rooted in our hearts and bear much fruit, fruit that will last.

May we as a church seek God for who He IS and desire to have an encounter with Him. Let us cleanse our hands and purify our hearts and prepare a beautiful and holy temple for our God to dwell in.

Let us seek God and believe that we will find Him when we seek Him with ALL our heart. I'm excited!!

'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' Lk 24:7.

Sin is like the cancer and poison to our spirit. Though we may not physically see it, it is real and there is no way that we can remove it or get rid of it by ourselves.

How would you feel if your loved one is diagnosed with incurable cancer? How would you feel if you know that the destiny for your loved one is eternal hell and death?

God saw the state of those whom He loved so dearly. The people whom He created to have a relationship with. The only way to save them?? For His Son to take our place, be crucified. But not only that, to rise up in victory and to conquer what held us down... Sin.

Praise God for His everlasting love. Indeed, where there was no way, He made a way for us to be saved and restored in our relationship with Him.

Focus. I know that for myself, it is easy to get distracted. Life gets busy and there are many things demanding my attention - work, house chores, etc. Even for Paul, there must have been many distractions. But here, he resolves to focus on nothing else but Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.

As we prepare for Spiritual Encounter, we need to have the same focus - to know nothing else except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Why is the Lord's name majestic? Majestic means having or showing impressive beauty or dignity. Have you ever seen the sky on a clear night in the country side? Millions of stars on a deep black background. It looks so awesome and amazing. All of that, was created by GOD. If He can create such impressive wonders ... imagine what else is in His name. That's the name we sing to, we worship to, we pray to. That's why the Lord's name is majestic.
