An Open Heart... 10th May am and pm Sunday Service
A heart that is open is a heart that can receive. A heart that is empty of worldly things is a heart that can be filled with the things from God.
One may ask, if I open my heart to empty out the things of the world, what would God fill it with?...
A very good question indeed...
In Romans 5:5, it states, 'And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.'
Wow! The verse reveals to us that God himself pours out HIS LOVE into OUR HEARTS by the HOLY SPIRIT, whom He has GIVEN US. Indeed, as we open our hearts and empty anything that is not of God, God Himself POURS out His love into our hearts. Notice it doesn't just say 'squirt' or 'splash' His love into us, but POURs His love into our hearts. His love overflows in us. Furthermore, this love that is from God does not have to be worked for or earnt. He simply and graciously GIVES His love to us. How great is our God and how thankful are we to Him.
So let us through our worship this Sunday soften and open the hearts of the whole congregation so that the Love of God can be poured into each and every hearts. Hallelujah!!
