Throw It All Out
17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
Matthew 9:17
Hey team. Sorry for the late post. I've been spending today (and tomorrow) cleaning out my house. Clearing out all the junk I've somehow accumulated since I moved in (and there is a lot!). I don't know where its all come from. Suffice it to say, my bin is overflowing but I still have too much stuff!
Why I am clearing out my house? To prepare for the new member of my house! To make space for the little one and his clothes, toys, bed, etc. Space needs to be made for the new!
In our lives, we can become so cluttered with all the material things of this world that we can forget what is important. Our lives become so filled with "stuff", that we can't grow, move or take in new things properly. Sometimes we just need to throw it all out!
After Spiritual Encounter, where I hope we have all been refreshed and the fire for God strengthened, we need to clear out all the things that hinder us and distract us from God. Like the new wine and old wineskins, we can't hold in the new if we haven't been made new.
